Folding Knives

The XM-18 is known the world over as one of the toughest tactical folders and is has been our flagship model since it's creation. Rick’s focus when designing the XM-18 was a tool ready for not only the simplest cutting tasks, but also hard use situations that require a durable and reliable folding knife. The blade locks up on a solid ¼ in diameter Thumb stud which is press fitted into the blade. This makes for a very strong lockup as there is no loosening of the thumb stud which can happen with two piece designs. The fact that the thumb stud locks up against the frame adds an incredible amount of strength to the sideways torque of the blade as the sideways stresses are being stopped by the whole handle side, thus relieving the stress that would normally be put on the pivot.

The XM-18 3.0" is simply a smaller version of the iconic flagship model XM-18 3.5". The Hinderer XM-18 Slippy (Slipjoint) is a departure from the typical Hinderer framelock folder. The innovative slipjoint pocket knife has a track milled into the blade that allows the thumb disc to be moved forward or back, so you can customize how the knife opens. The adjustment allows for fine tuning personal preference so that the Hinderer XM Slippy can be opened easily with one hand. If you don’t like thumb discs, remove it and use the track as a traditional long pull. Out of the box the Hinderer XM-18 is setup with a clip in the tip down carry position, but can be swapped for tip up carry. Don’t like clips on your slipjoint pocket knife? Don’t worry, remove the clip and insert a filler tab for a smooth back.The XM-18 Slipjoint is a great mix between modern design with a highend 20CV stainless steel blade and traditional knives. Rick’s focus when designing the Eklipse was a no nonsense tactical tool ready for the simplest cutting tasks to high speed low drag operations.The Eklipse has a CNC flat ground Tanto blade that offers the best of both worlds offering maximum cutting potential in a blade that has a durable tip for prying. Another RHK exclusive feature is our patented Hinderer Modular Backspacer System here utilizing a easily removable tool that will allow you to disassemble the entire knife for cleaning or adding accessories!

The Full Track is the upsized version of the Half Track.  The Full Track is constructed of an all titanium body with a G-10 insert. On the Show side of the knife the scale may be removed to store spare washers and spacers. Attached to the spine of the knife is a tool that can be used to disassemble the knife with no other tools needed.  This knife is built with bearings but comes with phosphor bronze washers and Teflon washers. This allows the owner to switch out the pivot system to their preference.

The Halftrack is an absolute tank of a knife! Built on a smaller frame with the same thickness as its larger cousin, the XM-18 3.5. But don’t let its small frame fool you, your fit to the handle is amazing! Proper design of the handle allows you to get a full hand grip that is very comfortable while being a sure grip. The multilevel handle design allows for great modern looks while retaining that ergonomic feel that I am known for in my designs. Utilizing modern steels in the .165 in thick blade ensures you have a cutting tool that will last generations! Available in a wide range of handle materials and colors.

The Modular Platform-1 -or- MP-1 for short! The MP-1 folder made its debut to the world at the 2016 Tactical Knives Invitational! It is indeed a departure from the XM series in terms of design, but it functions just as good as your trusty XM! The MP-1 features a sleek 3.25″ blade made from S35VN steel. The initial offering for this production folder is an all titanium handle version! What really makes this knife stand-out, is that it features Rick’s newest creation; the HMBS- Hinderer Modular Backspacer System! The HMBS is an innovative patent pending design that features a removable backspacer. The great thing about using a knife with the installed HMBS, no disassembly is required to switch out backspacers with one of the many variations we offer.

I designed the Jurassic with a midsized hard working folder in mind. It is a folder that bridges the gap between the 3in XM-18 and the 3.5in XM-18. It was designed with total power cutting ergonomics in mind! The drop edge design allows the cutting edge to be lower in the push stroke style of cutting that you normally use when cutting aggressively. The higher back of the handle and the dropped edge of the blade combine to give the user unparalleled comfort and usability.
